Job Description

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine, located in Atlanta, Georgia, are actively seeking a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist to join our growing Interventional Radiology (IR) practice. With five full-time pediatric IR faculty positions, three IR advanced practice providers and a dedicated outpatient pediatric IR clinic staffed with a dedicated IR clinic nurse, our practice is one of the most robust IR practices in the U.S. focused solely on the care of children and adolescents.
We also oversee a dedicated pediatric interventional radiology fellowship—non-Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), with one fellow per year.
Qualifications include:
- American Board of Radiology (A )-certified or board-eligible
- Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited residency or fellowship in interventional radiology, with additional subspecialty certification in pediatric interventional radiology preferred
Why Children's?
A trusted leader in pediatric healthcare for more than 100 years, Children's is continually recognized as one of the nation's leading pediatric care providers by U.S. News & World Report, with many of our specialty programs ranking among the best in the nation. We are also one of the largest pediatric healthcare systems in the country, with nearly 800 licensed beds and more than 1.1 million patient visits annually.
Through our academic partnership with Emory University—ranked No. 1 nationally in National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding for pediatric departments—we actively participate in clinical studies aimed to advance pediatric medicine and transform the way we care for kids and teens.
Better Together:
Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University
Children's and Emory University work together to facilitate leading-edge pediatric care, research, training and innovation. Through this unique and lasting partnership, more than 500 of our physicians hold titles at both independent institutions. That means when you join our team, you can also join the faculty at Emory University, one of the leading academic institutions in the nation. (Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.)
An Open Door to Opportunity
Make an impact by deploying discoveries made in Emory University's research lab in real, lifesaving situations at Children's. Within Emory's Health Sciences Research Building II (HSRB-II), a quarter of the assignable lab space in this 350,000-square-foot building will be devoted to pediatric biomedical research to study the prevention and treatment of disease. Train physicians of tomorrow at the primary teaching site for Emory School of Medicine's 30+ pediatric ACGME-accredited fellowships and residencies.
Advance your practice in an excellent clinical environment with high-volume clinical services, alongside faculty with superior research and scholarly expertise. Collaborate with some of the top minds in your field as you strive to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow.
