This 633-bed Level I Trauma Center provides cardiothoracic surgical services across inpatient and clinic settings. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and care coordination throughout all assigned coverage periods. On-site APP support staff are in place to facilitate continuity of care during the locum coverage assignment.

Georgia offers a range of experiences across its diverse regions, including history trails, guided tours, and outdoor recreation. Clinicians on assignment may explore regional destinations with activities spanning walking tours, water sports, scenic rides, and wildlife experiences. The state provides options suited to varied interests, from historical exploration to outdoor adventure.

Clinicians will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient and clinic settings on a day shift basis, with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and hospital hours from 5:30 AM to 6:30 PM; no call is required. Clinical responsibilities include endoscopic vein harvesting, first assisting, sternal chest closure, and preferably CVICU experience, with an estimated patient volume of 10-20 patients per shift and 4-6 consults per day.

A minimum of 4 years of cardiac surgery experience in the OR is required, along with demonstrated endoscopic vein harvesting proficiency. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system.
