Job Summary
This individual is responsible for entering all transfer credit-related transcript data into the student record; researching required aspects of transcripts and/or schools; reviewing/updating prior transfer records as needed; and evaluating transfer credit for new incoming and readmitted students.
Responsibilities
- Researches accreditation, grading scales, catalogs, etc. for schools attended by transfer students.
- Enters transcript data into Banner for all transfer students, including readmits.
- Reviews and verifies the accuracy of prior transfer credit entries in Banner upon student updates/readmission.
- Updates final transcript records.
- Generates and mails transfer evaluation letters.
- Performs supplemental transfer evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of related experience in a university Registrar's Office.
- Knowledge of Ellucian Banner software desired.
- Must have current knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to student records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Must be detail oriented, possess strong professional communication skills, and be able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be able to make logical, efficient decisions while working independently.
