Job Summary

This individual is responsible for entering all transfer credit-related transcript data into the student record; researching required aspects of transcripts and/or schools; reviewing/updating prior transfer records as needed; and evaluating transfer credit for new incoming and readmitted students.

Responsibilities

  • Researches accreditation, grading scales, catalogs, etc. for schools attended by transfer students.
  • Enters transcript data into Banner for all transfer students, including readmits.
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of prior transfer credit entries in Banner upon student updates/readmission.
  • Updates final transcript records.
  • Generates and mails transfer evaluation letters.
  • Performs supplemental transfer evaluations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of related experience in a university Registrar's Office.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Banner software desired.
  • Must have current knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to student records.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Must be detail oriented, possess strong professional communication skills, and be able to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be able to make logical, efficient decisions while working independently.
