12 Month Summer Program Paraprofessional
Reports to12-Month Site Coordinator, Supervisor for Autism Services.
Primary FunctionProvides direct support to students with disabilities in the 12-Month Entitlement Program (Full Day) for the duration of summer session 7/6-8/6/26, Inservice 6/23 & 6/24/26.
Essential Duties- Provide instructional support to students with Autism.
- Provide and support individual and small group instruction within the self-contained classroom and during inclusive building opportunities.
- Apply evidence‑based strategies based in the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis as directed by the classroom team.
- Adhere to all appropriate practices in educating students with Autism in compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Engage students in meaningful learning activities based on teacher‑directed activities.
- Provide and implement direct instruction aligned with student‑specific IEP needs, goals and benchmarks, Behavior Support plans utilizing appropriate curricula.
- Develop and nurture the emotional, cognitive, and social abilities of all students.
- Implement research‑based instruction and classroom management strategies.
- Respond to student behavior appropriately and successfully in accordance with outlined behavior‑support strategies and/or plans.
- Support all areas of skill development including personal self‑care, hygiene, social/emotional, behavioral and academic.
- Demonstrate clear and accurate oral and written communication.
- Maintain high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
- Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with staff, students, and building partners.
- Support data collection across all learning domains/activities.
- Implement Behavior Support Plans aligned with student needs and respond to student crisis as needed.

- Requirements for Paraprofessional Certification
- 60 or more college credits OR pass the Para Pro Test
- Current PPD (tuberculosis) screening within the last 5 years
- Current Criminal Background Check within the last 12 months
