Position Summary
Baker County School District is seeking a visionary and experienced Curriculum Director to lead district-wide curriculum development and instructional improvement for the school year. The Curriculum Director will provide strategic leadership in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and instructional programs that support academic excellence, equity, and high student achievement across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE).
Provide instructional leadership to principals and teachers, promoting effective instructional practices and data-driven decision-making.
Coordinate curriculum mapping and adoption of instructional materials across grade levels and content areas.
Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities for instructional staff.
Collaborate with administrators and instructional staff to ensure curriculum goals align with district strategic priorities.
Analyze student performance data and provide recommendations to strengthen instructional outcomes.
Oversee the curriculum department operations, including budgeting, planning, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Support school improvement efforts through collaborative leadership and mentoring.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Valid Georgia educational leadership certification or eligibility.
Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership in K-12 settings.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to lead professional learning and support teacher growth.
Knowledge of Georgia Standards of Excellence, state assessments, and instructional best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supervising instructional staff or curriculum specialists.
Experience integrating technology into curriculum and instruction.
Familiarity with culturally responsive instructional practices.
