Position: Tactical Network Transport Instructor with Security Clearance
Location: Fort Gordon

Summit Technologies, Inc. is seeking a qualified Tactical Network Transport Instructor to support U.S. Army tactical communications training operations. Our team delivers mission-critical instruction and technical expertise to ensure operational readiness across DoD tactical network environments. We are committed to supporting military modernization efforts through high-quality training, subject matter expertise, and disciplined instructional delivery. The Level I Tactical Network Transport Instructor will provide classroom and hands-on instruction in support of DoD tactical communications networks and military technical training programs.

The instructor will train adult learners in tactical network transport systems, ensuring alignment with Army doctrine, TRADOC standards, and program-of-instruction (POI) requirements. This role requires recent operational or instructional experience in DoD tactical communications environments and certification-level knowledge in relevant networking technologies. Only U.S. citizens will be considered, as this position requires an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities Deliver instructor-led training (ILT) in tactical network transport systems.
Facilitate hands-on labs and field-based practical exercises.
Instruct adult learners in accordance with Army TRADOC standards.
Evaluate student performance and provide remediation as required.
Maintain and update training materials to align with current doctrine and system updates.
Ensure compliance with institutional training and faculty development requirements.
Support installation-level training operations and staff coordination.

Required Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years instructional experience in DoD tactical communications, military technical training, or vocational/technical environments.
OR
Three (3) years working directly in support of DoD tactical communications networks.
Experience must have occurred between March 2021 and March 2026 (non-consecutive acceptable).

Education:

Associate’s degree in a Technical or Business discipline
Four (4) years of instructional experience may substitute for degree
Instructor Certification (Current within last five years):
United States Army Training and Doctrine Command approved certification, such as:
Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC)
Foundation Instructor Facilitator’s Course (FIFC)
Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course (CFD-IC)
Faculty Development Program-1 (as required)
Installation Staff Contractor Course (ISCTC) or equivalent (Cadre Training Course (CTC) or Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC))
Technical Certification Required (Certification or certification-level training in one or more of the following) CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
Cisco CCNA (Routing & Switching)
VMware Certified Professional
Ideal Background Former Signal Corps NCO or Officer
Senior Tactical Network SME
Experienced Army technical instructor
Strong field and classroom leadership presence
Comfortable mentoring junior cadre

Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting Army tactical network modernization initiatives
Experience instructing in field or deployed training environments
Strong familiarity with tactical transport systems and network infrastructure
Work Environment Military installation/classroom setting
Hands-on tactical lab and field training environment
Interaction with active-duty military personnel
Structured, performance-driven training environment
