Your Role as a Pre-K Assistant Teacher

We are seeking passionate educators to assist the GA Pre-K Lead Teacher oversee classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the GA Dept of Early Care and Learning, and aligning with the objectives of the current GA Pre-K Curriculum. In this supportive role, you ll contribute to creating a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families, helping to forge strong, supportive relationships.

You ll assist with planning and implementing learning experiences that promote physical health, social-emotional growth, cognitive abilities, and creative expression. You ll also observe and assess the children s development, aiding in the customization of curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child. You ll be an integral part of our mission to guide young learners toward a future filled with possibilities.

Requirements
  • Can pass a background check, have a High School Diploma, and hold at least one of the following qualifications: a Technical Certificate of Credit in early childhood education, a Specialist degree or PhD, a Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the GaPSC, a Master s degree in any field, a Georgia teacher certificate, a CDA credential, and a Bachelor s or Associate degree in any field.
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children s needs and development.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
