DescriptionThe Alumni Relations and Advancement Coordinator reports to the AVP for Advancement and Development and supports the alumni relations, advancement, and development functions of the University by providing broad, complex as well as confidential leadership and support. This position is responsible for alumni communications and events, special events, day-to-day operations of the Advancement team including supervision of student workers, annual giving efforts and helping maintain the University’s database.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with the AVP for Advancement and Development, the Alumni Association Board and athletics, to plan, lead and implement strategies for engaging alumni through social media, digital engagement, professional events, volunteer opportunities, philanthropy, and other activities; campus-based and in targeted regions.

In) and post content. - Plan and coordinate quarterly Alumni Association Board meetings.
- Schedule and prepare alumni newsletters.
- Schedule and prepare agendas for meetings and other planning duties as needed.
- Manage office and promotional supply purchases, maintain inventory, and replenish as needed.
- Assist in accurately maintaining information in Raiser’s Edge, including data entry, address updates, and entering contacts and obituary information as requested.
- Assist in coordinating and processing direct mail projects internally or through a mail house and ensuring projects are completed on schedule.
- Assist in various development and special event activities, including pre-event preparations and day-of event functions.
- Train, supervise, and manage student worker.
- Assist in maintaining office archive documents.
- Coordinates graduation yard sign project and paver brick sales for graduating seniors and office participation in Senior Sendoff activities.
- Coordinate golf cart reservations.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- On-site work is required.
- Incumbents must remain relevant in the area of employment and flexible to changes in work related to institutional needs.
College degree required; preferably a Piedmont University degree.
Event coordination experience.
Data entry experience, preferably Raiser’s Edge
One to two years of experience in a business or professional organization
Licenses and CertificationValid Georgia Driver’s License (or obtained within 30 days of hire date) and satisfactory MVR.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Skilled in writing and social media postings.
Highly organized self-starter with good interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of standard office etiquette, i.e., customer service, protocol.
Ability to work well with a team, across departments, and independently.
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and/or projects simultaneously while addressing the needs of the office,
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet multiple deadlines and priorities.
Must be punctual, dependable and remain flexible to changes in work related to institutional needs.
Ability to collaboratively and effectively work in a diverse and inclusive environment.
