Position Summary: We are seeking a focused and driven Teacher to join our team. The best fit must create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role requires creativity, patience, and a strong commitment to early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and emotionally supportive classroom environment.
- Encourage exploration, problem-solving, and hands-on learning through engaging activities.
- Monitor and assess children's development and provide individualized support where needed.
- Establish strong communication with parents/guardians to discuss progress and concerns.
- Organize and facilitate group activities, storytelling, music, and art projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space that meets health and safety guidelines.
- Guide children in developing self-regulation skills, conflict resolution, and positive social interactions.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources to support learning objectives.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the curriculum and overall learning experience of learners.
- Track attendance, maintain records, and prepare reports on student development.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding student development, concerns, and achievements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Child Development Associate Certification is an edge
- Has experience working with children
- Strong understanding of early childhood development theories and best practices.
- Adapt diverse teaching methods accordingly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering a love for learning in young children.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques that support emotional and behavioral growth.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (preferred).
