Location: Hamilton

Step into a dynamic educational environment by supporting students who are Deaf or hard of hearing as an on-site Sign Language Interpreter. Four positions are available for dedicated professionals to work full-time during the  academic year, with possible pre- or post-planning days. This contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, to May 21, 2027, offering at least 37.5 hours weekly, with part-time arrangements considered based on availability and school needs.

Key

Qualifications:
  • Hold an active Georgia Educator Certificate specific to Sign Language Interpreters
  • Achieved an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
  • Previous experience working in K-12 settings is highly valued
  • Demonstrate exceptional fluency in American Sign Language and English
  • Ability to complete daily service documentation logs reliably
  • Solid organizational skills and dedication to professional communication
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver on-site interpretation services to students in mainstream and special education settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to facilitate communication and inclusivity
  • Adapt interpreting techniques for varying age groups and educational levels as discussed during interviews
  • Maintain accurate daily logs of services provided for accountability and student progress monitoring
  • Foster a positive, accepting learning environment for all students
