Baker County is seeking a passionate and dedicated K-12 Band Teacher for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality music instruction, foster student growth and performance excellence, and promote a positive and engaging learning environment for students across all grade levels.
Qualifications:
* Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Music Education (or eligibility for certification)
* Strong knowledge of instrumental music instruction and band performance
* Ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members
* Experience directing concert band, marching band, and/or beginning band programs preferred
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging band instruction for students in grades K-12
* Prepare students for performances, concerts, competitions, and school events
* Develop lesson plans aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence
* Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents and administrators
* Manage inventory and care of instruments, equipment, and music materials
* Foster student participation and enthusiasm for music education
