Assistant Principal
Reports To:

Qualifications:
Master's Degree (preferred).
Enrollment in Tier 1 Leadership Program (or ability to do so)
Minimum of five year successful teaching experience
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Principal supports the principal in providing leadership and supervision for all aspects of the school program. This role focuses on promoting student achievement, ensuring a safe and positive school climate, managing operations, and fostering effective communication among students, staff, parents, and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership
Assist the principal in developing, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs that meet state standards.
Support teachers through classroom observations, feedback, and professional development.
Analyze student achievement data to guide instructional decisions and interventions.
Promote effective use of technology and innovative teaching practices.
Student Support and Discipline
Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline policies fairly and consistently.
Coordinate attendance initiatives and interventions to reduce absenteeism.
Work with counselors, teachers, and parents to support student success and well-being.
Manage student behavior plans and conflict resolution.
School Operations and Management
Supervise daily school operations, including scheduling, facilities, and safety procedures.
Coordinate supervision duties such as lunch, arrival/dismissal, and extracurricular events.
Assist with emergency preparedness and crisis management plans.
Support hiring, evaluation, and mentoring of staff.
Family and Community Relations
Foster strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community partners.
Communicate effectively through meetings, newsletters, and school events.
Promote a positive image of the school within the community.
Other Responsibilities
Serve as acting principal in the principal's absence.
Participate in district-level committees, meetings, and professional learning.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or superintendent.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced school environment.
Requires frequent interaction with students, parents, and staff.
Extended or irregular hours for school events and emergencies may be required.
