Primary Function:
Assist the principal of the school in providing leadership and guidance in the effective, efficient operations of the assigned school, managing the curriculum and instructional program, and maintaining a safe, orderly environment conducive to learning.

GENERAL
1.Maintains a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.
2.Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in the use of internet, email, and other computer applications as applicable to job responsibilities.
3.Demonstrates appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
4.Acts in a professional manner and maintains a professional towards the public and colleagues; adheres to cultural diversity guidelines, and exhibits the fundamentals of good public/customer service.
5.Complies with school, system, state and federal regulations and policies, including the PSC Code of Ethics, as related to job requirements.
6.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and material; adheres to chain of command.

8.Maintains and improves knowledge and skills to promote proficiency in the operations of an organized, modern, updated, and efficient school.

vision/mission to school personnel as appropriate. 13.Reports to principal about status of programs. 14.Makes recommendations of appropriate actions and alternatives to the principal. 15.Keeps abreast of and informs the principal of changes in rules and regulations of the Georgia Board of Education and state/federal laws concerning area of responsibility. 16.Keeps abreast of and informs the principal of current trends and developments concerning area of responsibility.
17.Plans and implements school budget according to system guidelines and procedures. 18.Ensures expenditures are within approved limits. 19.Monitors compliance with policies and laws concerning area of responsibility. 20.Enhances the climate of the building and the morale of colleagues. 21.Demonstrates loyalty to the school system and administration. 22.Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
CURRICULUM
23.Assures the quality of teacher's lessons was high and reflected the school system standards. 24.Assures that the curriculum addresses all levels of students. 25.Assures that the curriculum that teachers used reflected the school system?s academic standards.
STAFF PERFORMANCE
26.Conducts appropriate staff evaluations and provides staff with meaningful feedback regarding ways to improve their performance. 27.Identifies staff that required improvement and developed appropriate improvement plans. 28.Provides appropriate documentation of ineffective performance for staff who demonstrated lack of competence, ineffective practices, and poor performance of their students and/or an unwillingness to improve.
COMPREHENSIVE IMPROVEMENT PLANS
29.Provides leadership in collaboratively developing the school improvement plan. 30.Employs strategies in the school improvement plan that focus on areas identified in needs assessments. 31.Involves all personnel in supporting efforts of the classroom teachers.
ACADEMIC FOCUS
32.Provides school staff with sufficient flexibility in the use of time, support from non-classroom teachers to support classroom teachers and resources to assure that student needs at all achievement levels are served appropriately. 33.Assures that appropriate remediation is implemented for students not achieving on grade level. 34.Assures that effective behavior plans are developed and disseminated to students, teachers, and parents and implemented throughout the school in every classroom.
ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING AND ADMINISTRATIVE PERFORMANCE 35.Manages the school and school plant efficiently in a neat, clean, safe, and inviting manner. 36.Completed paperwork, reports and made decision in a timely and responsive fashion.
COMMUNICATIONS
