Make a difference supporting students as a contract paraprofessional for the upcoming academic year! Two full-time paraprofessional positions are available to provide valuable assistance at a middle school in the LaFayette area. These roles offer hands-on experience working closely with students and educators, helping to foster a supportive classroom environment.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about empowering student success and skilled at collaborating with teachers to deliver instructional and behavioral support. Flexibility is key, as specific caseload details will be provided as the principal finalizes assignments. Candidates will have the chance to indicate preference for one or both positions during the interview process.

Qualifications and

Preferred Experience:

• GaPSC Paraprofessional Certification required before start date (candidates without will be considered if willing to complete certification)
• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support role is highly valued
• Commitment to completing onsite district fingerprinting prior to starting
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting students of varying needs and learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group student support, as needed
• Monitor student behavior and encourage a positive learning environment
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and/or social-emotional needs
• Adapt support strategies based on teacher guidance and student progress

This contract position runs from August 4, 2026, to May 21, 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek providing stable, consistent hours throughout the school year.
