Excel Christian Academy
Emerson, Georgia
Excel Christian Academy (ECA) is seeking a certified K-12 Art Teacher to inspire creativity while nurturing students in a Christ-centered educational environment. The ideal candidate will encourage artistic expression, develop technical skills, and integrate biblical values across all grade levels.
Position Overview
The K-12 Art Teacher will plan and deliver engaging visual arts instruction appropriate for elementary, middle, and high school students. This role emphasizes creativity, skill development, and appreciation for art as an expression of God's creativity.
Qualifications
Valid Georgia teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field
Experience teaching art across multiple grade levels preferred
Knowledge of various art media and techniques
Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
Expected Qualities of a Christian School Teacher
A clear profession of faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian living
Passion for Christian education and alignment with the mission of Excel Christian Academy
Ability to integrate biblical truth and Christian worldview into art instruction
Serves as a Christ-like role model in character, speech, and relationships
Demonstrates patience, creativity, and grace when working with students
Supports the academic, spiritual, and emotional growth of students
Willing participation in school events, chapel, and community activities
Responsibilities
Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate art lessons
Encourage creativity while teaching foundational art skills and techniques
Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school
Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
Maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school-wide goals
