Position Overview

Randolph-Clay High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Biology Teacher who is passionate about science instruction and committed to academic excellence. The ideal candidate will engage students in rigorous, standards-based learning experiences that foster critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and real-world application of biological concepts.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons aligned to the Georgia Department of Education standards

* Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs

* Incorporate laboratory experiments, hands-on activities, and technology to enhance learning

* Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments

* Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance

* Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment

* Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and school initiatives

* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

* Participate in professional learning and school improvement efforts

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science Education, or a related field

* Valid Georgia teaching certification in Science (Biology preferred) or eligibility for certification

* Strong knowledge of high school biology content and instructional best practices

* Excellent classroom management and organizational skills

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
