Job DescriptionThe Bryan County School System is accepting applications for a part-time Director of Early Learning for the school year.
Position OverviewThe Director of Early Learning will support Bryan County Schools by coordinating, facilitating and supervising the Pre‑Kindergarten program and Bryan Early Education (BEE) Childcare program.
This position reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.
Job Qualifications- Master's Degree with Georgia Teaching and Leadership certification
- Experience with program development, strategic planning, and budgeting
- Experience in a K–12 education setting in a leadership position
- Experience with child development programming or special education preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with schools, families, employees and intergovernmental agencies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong attention to detail
Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee early learning programs, including pre-kindergarten and childcare.
- Serve as the primary supervisor of BEE Childcare; evaluate and supervise childcare staff at multiple locations.
- Support schools in planning and implementing pre-kindergarten instruction.
- Assist in the development and management of budgets related to early learning.
- Monitor program effectiveness and prepare reports on participation, outcomes, and impact.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, district policies, and Board of Education guidelines.
- Collaborate with district leadership to align early learning initiatives with district strategic goals.
- Support grant writing efforts and explore funding opportunities to sustain and expand programs.
- Other duties, as assigned.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach. Occasionally, the employee must stoop, kneel, or crouch and may need to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
