Birmingham Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a MoCI classroom for the 2026-27 school year.
Position Type:
Special Education/ Special Education Teacher
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a SA (Special Education – Cognitive Impairment) endorsement or ability to obtain this endorsement
- Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge in the content area of service and MARSE regulations
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff
- Demonstrated competency in student management and supervision
- Passion and commitment to improving learning outcomes for all students
- Demonstrated ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
