Reports To:
Team Coordinator
Qualifications:
High school diploma; college degree preferred. Access to a personal computer and reliable internet
Duties:
Mentors are assigned up to 10 students (Mentees).
- Mentor should set target graduation date with student. Mentor should discuss the Coastal Plains courses and timeline for completion. Mentor should review the Grad Plan with the student. Notes of meetings should be documented.
- Mentor should be familiar with Dual Enrollment (DE) AND Option B and make sure the student gets information if needed.
- Mentor will make a referral to a counselor, a social worker, or a site director if a concern arises that warrants help with a student's personal situation or academics. When in doubt, consult with the Team Coordinator.
