MAIN TASKS

Under the authority of the Direction of the pole and the Unit Manager:

In line with the values enshrined in the Association Project, the Establishment Project and the Unit Project, the educational monitor ensures the accompaniment of the people welcomed (young people with mild to moderate intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder, day and night welcome). Its missions are:

• Participate, in its educational aspect, in the co-construction and implementation of the individual accompaniment project by proposing educational interventions structured and developed from an interdisciplinary logic with the team of the unit.

• Offer educational support notably by:

• Implementing supports and mediations based on functional education tools;

• Evaluating the skills of the young people accompanied;

• Organizing, animating and regulating the daily life of the young person in its individual and collective dimensions in day and night welcome;

• Implementing interventions in the areas of learning, leisure, culture in the unit and in its environment;

• Developing partnerships to support inclusion in ordinary environments and to be resource support.

• Create conditions to promote self-determination so that the young person has the means to be an actor of their development.

• Relay the content of the work done and the evolutions of the young person in the framework of the contribution to the multidisciplinary team work.

• Take part in the institutional life both on the project of the unit, of the pole and on the associative transversal actions.

• Integrate in its practices the approach of continuous quality improvement.

Main Place of Work: Pôle Enfances Plurielles - IME Guilhem - day welcome in VENERQUE (31) and night welcome in MURET (31).

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Justifying a state diploma of Monitor Educator, DEME.

• Experience in work in IME appreciated.

• Experience in the accompaniment of children presenting autism spectrum disorders strongly expected.

• Trainings appreciated: TEACCH, ABA, EVARS.

COMPETENCIES & QUALITIES

• Ability to appropriate, construct and implement adapted supports and mediations (including structured education methods), for a public of young people with intellectual deficiencies and/or autism spectrum disorders.

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

• Ability to work with external partners.

• Ability to work with families.
