Minimum requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent – unless you are applying for a food service position.
- Must be at least 18 for Elementary Schools
- Must be at least 23 for Middle and High Schools
Pay rates:
- Substitute Teacher (HS Diploma/Equivalent or Associates): $80/day
- Substitute Teacher (Degree): $90/day
- Substitute Paraprofessional (HS Diploma/Equivalent): $9.40/hour
- Substitute Paraprofessional (Degree): $10.50/hour

Teacher Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
- Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
- Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
- For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.
Paraprofessional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
