Ready, Set, Grow ECE in Clarkesville is hiring a Georgia Pre‑K Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year!
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Georgia Pre‑K Teacher to join the team. In this vital role, the teacher will work in a state‑funded classroom, support a high‑quality GELDS‑based curriculum, and prepare young learners for success.
Responsibilities- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS), covering literacy, math, and social‑emotional development.
- Assessment & Tracking: Utilize the Work Sampling System (WSS) to conduct ongoing assessments of child development milestones, ensuring all students meet state performance indicators.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive, nurturing environment that promotes proactive behavior management and emotional well‑being for 4‑year‑olds.
- Compliance: Maintain a classroom that adheres to all Bright from the Start (DECAL) health, safety, and instructional regulations.
- Collaboration: Partner with parents, assistant teachers, and educational specialists to support individual learning plans and early intervention needs.
- Kindergarten Readiness: Foster foundational skills in literacy and numeracy through play‑based and intentional instruction.
- Certification: Must hold a CDA, TCC in Early Childhood Education, Valid Paraprofessional License, Associates, or meet the DECAL Assistant Teacher credential requirements.
- Experience: Proven experience in a Georgia Pre‑K classroom or a licensed daycare setting with strong classroom management skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with GELDS and the Work Sampling System (WSS) is highly preferred.
- Education: TCC or CDA in Early Childhood Education or a DECAL‑approved related field.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with families and the collaborative teaching team.
- Training: Current CPR/First Aid certification (our ability to obtain within 30 days) and a valid GaPDS number.
