STUDENT-Music Studies Peer Tutor

Tutoring for the Introduction to Music Studies class (MUTH 11100) - 2 hours per week in the fall 2025 semester.

Work Schedule:

During set hours: two hours chosen from MTWR 7 – 8 pm

• Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA
• Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses
• Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring music theory required; formal work experience tutoring fundamentals of music theory in the IC Center for Music preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work during posted hours
• Required strong experience with music technology, including facility with Canvas, Microsoft 365, Audacity, Spotify, and Muse Score
• Personal qualities conducive to one‑on‑one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility

Pay Rate: $15.50/hour
