POSITION TITLE: Teacher - Title 1, Social Studies (MS) for the  School Year

LOCATION(S): Red Top MS

START DATE: July 27, 2026

JOB DESCRIPTION: Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students in the classroom. Plan and implement effective lessons, using time, materials and resources effectively. Display a thorough knowledge of middle school social studies curriculum. Demonstrate awareness of the needs of students and provide for individual differences. Support the philosophy and mission of the Bartow County School System. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Must hold or be eligible for a Georgia teaching certificate in Middle Grades Social Studies (4-8) or History (6-12).

SKILLS: Ability and knowledge to effectively teach at the middle school level.

EXPERIENCE: Previous teaching experience preferred, not required.
