Position: TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE) with Security Clearance
Location: Robins Air Force Base

Duties
* Instructs students through assigned units of instruction at basic and/or advanced levels.
* Develops and/or revises lesson plans and training materials for aircraft propulsion curriculum.
* Monitors and evaluates student progress and performance.
* Inputs necessary data into the Field Training Management System (FTMS).

* Assigned courses are credited by the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF). Incumbent must have and associate degree from an accredited school or attain an associate degree within one year of employment.

* This position requires a 39 month commitment Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, to include the Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR) for the GS-1712, Training Instructor series BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Community College of the Air Force GS-1712 positions:
Section 9315 of 10 USC directs the commander of the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) to comply with standards established by the Secretary of Education to confer associate degrees upon enlisted members who have completed the requirements for the prescribed programs of study. To comply with this directive, all faculty members of the Community College of the Air Force must meet minimum educational requirements as prescribed by the accrediting body Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC), i.e. all teachers must hold at least an associate's degree in order for the school to meet accreditation criteria.

NOTE:

You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED

EXPERIENCE:

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes
1) Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s).
2) Supervising or administering a training program.
3) Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
4) Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
5) Providing knowledge of aircraft maintenance and equipment. OR

EDUCATION:

Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B or J.D., with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

EDUCATION:

A combination of the experience described above, and part of the education described above. Therefore, have a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience that when combined total at least 100 percent.

Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in
-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
