Youth and Children’s Ministry Director
Cornelia United Methodist Church, Cornelia Ga.
Are you passionate about faith, fun, and guiding the next generation? Cornelia UMC is a traditional Methodist church, seeking a creative, energetic, and dedicated Youth and Children’s Ministry Director to lead our young children and youth! In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with our Pastor to launch, build, and implement an exciting brand-new youth and children’s ministry. You will be on the ground floor of creating a lasting legacy of ministry to youth and children.
We are a church with large facilities, two church busses, and lots of adult support. We are actively engaged with the community and involved in outreach in many areas, especially the Hispanic community. Being bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a big plus!
- Children Target Audience: Children ages 5 through 5th grade.
- Youth Target Audience: Grades 6-12
- The Big Mission: Create a welcoming, high-energy Sunday evening program filled with faith-building lessons, activities, and fellowship.
- Status: 3/4-Time. (Sunday-Wednesdays, occasional weekend for events)
- Compensation: $25,000-$30,000 depending on experience. Church housing included 3 /2
Ba in town.
- Sunday Mornings: Connect with children in Sunday School, and promote the evening program.
- Sunday Evenings (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM): Lead and run the main Children's Ministry program.
- Wednesday evening programs to compliment fellowship dinners
- Weekend events as planned (Lock ins, retreats, conferences, etc.)
- Weekly Planning, training adults, recruiting etc. Help coordinate church calendar for events.
- A vibrant personality and a heart for children’s and youth spiritual formation.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with church leadership and recruit/manage volunteers.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and creative!
