Senior Polyurethane Foam Engineer

Hyundai Transys is seeking a Senior Polyurethane Foam Engineer to support polyurethane foam processing including research and development, process specifications, process optimization, quality assurance, and physical property testing.

The Senior Polyurethane Foam Engineer will perform all duties in support of polyurethane foam processing, including research and development, process specifications, process optimization, quality assurance, and physical property testing. The position will provide technical support including setup, maintenance, and installation. Additionally, the engineer will act as a point of contact between business managers, employees, and customers to secure effective operation and customer satisfaction.

• Assist the management and foam team in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy.
• Coordinate technical projects and improvements.
• Investigate technical issues related to foam.
• Create reports, analyze, and interpret foam data.
• Drive continuous improvement processes with material and machines, utilizing improved processes and technology.
• Program robots to optimize pour patterns.
• Validate and identify continuous improvement opportunities with lab results related to static load, hardness, density, and dimension.
• Maintain knowledge on current topics and trends in the polyurethane foam, automotive, and seating industry.
• Attend all required training as assigned.
• Be flexible in work to support continuous improvement activities that ensure personal and company growth.
