SummaryThe Supplier Assistant Manager will support the supplier development department in developing and implementing new parts for assigned Battery system assembly projects. The role collaborates with suppliers to ensure parts meet quality standards, are delivered on time, and meet cost targets. The manager must have a deep understanding of Battery system components, manufacturing processes, and expertise in identifying cost and quality improvements.
Strong communication and project management skills are necessary to keep stakeholders informed and ensure projects stay on track.
- Project Management – Assist with part development and implementation for assigned projects with suppliers and other departments; conduct detailed project plans, tactical execution, and scheduling; provide management overview and reporting; maintain strong supplier relationships; communicate regularly with upper management.
- Supplier Management – Assist suppliers to meet quality requirements during projects and programs; respond to supply shortages; conduct value engineering for cost savings; handle supplier ISIR review, approval, and quality audit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier development or supply quality management within automotive/battery industry.
- Fluency in Korean and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Experience in welding (GMAW/MIG/FSW/Laser) and press processes.
- Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments.
- Ability to understand 2D/3D drawings and use design tools.
- ERP experience.
- Office setting with some walking between buildings.
- Overtime as needed.
- Frequent travel with possible overnight or extended stays.
