Engineer IV (Facility Operations-Water Production) Job Description
This position is a key member of the Water Production Team within the Facilities Operations Division. The position is responsible for providing engineering and technical support to the facility.
- Perform and coordinate design reviews – incorporate Operations/ Maintenance/OTS comments and edits
- Coordinate with plant staff and contractors on performance testing of new equipment and systems
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize water treatment processes to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance plant performance and reduce operational costs.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrades of treatment systems and equipment.
- Conduct data analysis on flow rates, chemical dosing, and water quality parameters to identify trends and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital projects, plant expansions, and technology upgrades.
- Provide technical training and guidance to plant operators and maintenance staff.
Job Requirements /Information
- This job is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule after an initial probationary period and individual approval.
The grade for this position is D61(1). Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Four years of progressively responsible engineering experience, some of which should be in a supervisory capacity
- Valid Driver's License.
