Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Engineer
Our client, a well-established tooling and service organization in Peachtree City GA and supporting customers in the medical device industry is looking for their Service Manager.
Role SummaryThe Service Manager acts as the central point between incoming service requests and internal teams. Customer interaction is limited and purposeful, typically focused on clarifying scope or supporting quotations rather than frequent visits or travel. Most of the role is spent working closely with the shop floor, engineering, quality, and work preparation teams to define feasible, well-scoped service work.
New mold builds and core tooling are engineered and manufactured by teams in the Europe, requiring coordination across locations to validate technical scope when needed.
This position is well suited for someone with a tooling or machining background who prefers being close to the operation and owning scope and quoting accuracy rather than leading a team in the field. The ideal candidate will provide and maintain excellent customer service and be the frontline service contact for our external customers.

- Meet with customers (primarily on-site) to define scope, expectations, and technical requirements
- Develop clear scopes of work and prepare accurate quotations covering labor, materials, and lead times
- Review scope and feasibility internally with engineering, tooling, quality, and operations prior to issuing quotes

- Ensure awarded jobs are clearly documented and handed off to Work Preparation
- Maintain clear customer communication and accurate quotation documentation
- Support improvements to the service intake and quoting process
- Perform other duties as required to support service operations

- Experience creating or supporting technical quotations and scopes of work
- Ability to work effectively with international engineering and tooling teams
- Experience supporting regulated industries (medical preferred)
