Role Description
We’re seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) or Experienced Civil Designer to join our growing team at our Marietta corporate office. The ideal candidate will assist in developing and completing civil design plans for projects involving site development, transportation, and utility infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of commercial and public‑sector projects while working alongside an experienced and collaborative engineering team.
Responsibilities- Produce stormwater management calculations, grading, utility design, preliminary and final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, completion of permit documents, and other reports with the direction and guidance of the project engineer and project manager.
- Review and analyze surveys, maps, and topographic data to establish project requirements, constraints, and design criteria.
- Lead and support site development efforts from initial concept through final design, including grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
- Coordinate closely with engineers, architects, project managers, surveyors, and contractors to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, and compliant with applicable standards.
- Produce and support design calculations, technical documentation, and permitting submittals.
- Apply applicable codes, industry standards, and best practices throughout all phases of design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, preferred.
- Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.
- 3‑5 years of civil design experience supporting site development projects in federal, municipal, or industrial environments.
- Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, including surface modeling, alignments, corridors, and plan production.
- Proven experience designing and managing site development projects, including grading, drainage, and utility systems.
- Basic understanding of hydrology and watershed management.
- Ability to efficiently develop phased
ESPC plans & BMP design. - Experience with Revit is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
