Job Description
Automation – EBM Manager opening in Social Circle, GA. Full‑time role offering a salary range of $162,000–$252,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the EBM team and associated initiatives and projects.
- Make suggestions on improvements based on data, technical knowledge, engineering principles and current industry practices.
- Manage or support EBM activities for capital projects with minimal assistance.
- Lead the planning and execution of EBM automation activities for operational activities and capital projects as engineering lead.
- Define project scopes, prepare time or cost estimates, and provide justification for operational initiatives and capital budgets.
- Manage and control spending of approved operational and capital automation project funds.
- Drive projects to completion, meeting timeline and budget objectives.
- Create or update technical support specifications (Design/Functional/System) related to project assignments.
- Supervise contractors and junior‑level engineering personnel on project and operational support activities.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement related to engineering knowledge and technical problem‑solving in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Stay informed on biopharmaceutical industry best practices and technologies.
- Evaluate customer problems or requirements and address them through system solutions or design.
- Design and implement changes to EBM or automation systems while adhering to pharmaceutical validation and change‑control systems.
- Investigate EBM automation system events and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Document hardware/software modifications and update system functional specifications.
- Prepare standard operating procedures for new and existing control equipment.
- Mentor Automation Engineers in EBM.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 8 years of related experience.
- Experience analyzing production workflows to configure and implement MES modules for real‑time monitoring of manufacturing operations.
- Experience implementing batch recipe management within EBM systems to standardize production steps and reduce manual errors.
- Experience planning project timelines and resource allocation using project management tools to deliver system implementation milestones.
- Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams to execute system deployment activities within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
