Chemical Engineer (Korean Bilingual Preferred) Timpl has partnered with a leading global manufacturer of innovative building and industrial materials, specializing in surfaces, flooring, and automotive components. And we are looking for a Chemical Engineer. Qualifications Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or related field (Master's preferred for senior roles)
* Some experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with polymer chemistry / coatings / surface materials is highly desirable
* Experience with laboratory scale testing and analysis; scaling lab data to production is a plus Skills & Knowledge
* Solid grounding in general chemistry, polymer chemistry, mechanical/materials testing
* Proficiency with lab equipment and test standards relevant to product line (e.g. tensile/impact tests, hardness, adhesion, abrasion, optical properties, etc.)
* Data analysis skills - able to interpret test results, use statistical tools, generate reports
* Familiarity with manufacturing systems, process control, yield and quality metrics
* Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP), MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English;
Korean bilingual preferred to facilitate communication with headquarters / suppliers Other Attributes
* Strong problem?solving mindset, attention to detail
* Ability to work cross?functionally, collaborate with production/quality/supply chain
* Self?motivated, proactive, able to manage multiple tasks/priorities
* Willingness to travel locally or regionally as needed (supplier visits, other plant locations)
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
* Majority of time spent in lab or office; frequent visits to manufacturing floor
* Must be able to lift/move materials or test samples up to ~25-50 lbs occasionally
* Safe handling of chemicals; adherence to safety protocols, use of PPE
* Occasional travel ( %)
