This position requires an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. Lockheed Martin is looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who is well-versed in Network Engineering including a strong understanding of network, server, and storage environments to support military Space Programs. This position receives day-to-day operations guidance from program staff and will report to the LM IS SWFLANT IT OPS Manager.

This is an onsite role, working a 9x80 schedule (every other Friday off!).

Responsibilities include:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining our server infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components
• Ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of our servers and data
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior team members
• Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business applications
• Developing and implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to continuously improve our server infrastructure
• US Citizenship required at this facility

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Network Engineering experience (i.e. design, implementation, troubleshooting of complex network infrastructure)
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance
• Active CCNA (or higher) Cisco certification
• Experience in designing LAN, WAN, and data center networks
• Knowledge of OSI, TCP/IP Models, Layer 2/3 technologies (VLAN, OSPF, BGP), and hands-on experience with Cisco hardware
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: DISA STIGs, COMSEC, and/or TACLANEs
• Strong network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of advanced DNS concepts Desired

Skills:

• Functional understanding of Splunk for data collection, real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
• Implementation and configuration of firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
• Understanding of virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware, vSAN)
• Experience with Cloud Networking Infrastructure
• Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile / Scrum environment
• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio
• Familiarity with installation and configuration of Big-IP (F5)

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
