We are partnering with leading engineering consultancies, EPC contractors, and utilities across the United States to identify experienced Transmission Engineers to support the rapid expansion and modernization of the North American power grid. These roles will support the design, engineering, and execution of high-voltage transmission projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV+. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with 5–10 years of experience looking to work on large-scale transmission infrastructure projects, including grid expansion, renewable integration, and reliability upgrades.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering design and analysis for high-voltage transmission lines (69kV–500kV+).
- Support routing, structural design, and line layout for overhead transmission systems.
- Develop engineering packages, calculations, and technical reports, including sag/tension analysis, structure loading, and foundation recommendations.
- Coordinate with substation, protection & controls, and civil teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Review and interpret utility standards, NESC requirements, and client specifications.
- Provide engineering support during construction phases, responding to RFIs and reviewing field modifications.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and technical presentations when required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
- Prior experience working for an EPC contractor, engineering consultancy, or electric utility.
- Experience designing high-voltage transmission lines (69kV–500kV+).
- Familiarity with NESC, IEEE standards, and utility design standards.
- Experience using transmission design software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of structural loading, conductor selection, and line design principles.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure.
- Experience supporting renewable interconnection or grid modernization projects.
- Experience with foundation design and geotechnical coordination.
- Exposure to multi-state transmission projects or regional utilities.
