Position Overview
MTEK is seeking a high‑caliber Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the newly opened Byron facility. The primary objective of this role is to take ownership of design and development of modular UL 2200 enclosures for Caterpillar and Cummins industrial power systems, integrating sound attenuation, fire suppression, UL142/UL2085 diesel base tanks, UL891 Switchboard, UL listed load banks, switch gear units and other essential equipment based on project requirements.
The ideal candidate will take full ownership of structural and sheet‑metal design while making critical, real‑time engineering decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Success requires independence and collaboration, daily interaction with shop personnel, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and UL standards.
