S3, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Light Vehicle Manager to support the MCOE, MFCD, and MRD at Fort Benning, GA.
Position supports the Maneuver Requirements Division (MRD) of the Maneuver Future Capability Directorate (MFCD) at Fort Benning, GA, under U.S. Army Futures and Concepts Command (FCC).
Job Description- Candidate performs capability gap and DOTMLPF‑P analysis to inform requirements.
- Develops, writes, assembles, and staffs capability requirements documents, CONEMP, and basis of issue guidance for the Army’s light tactical and all‑terrain platforms.
- Performs CBA and Materiel Solutions Analysis; conducts product research, develops COIC and D&OP for operational test events.
- Candidate requires practical experience in the operation, employment, integration, and sustainment of light vehicle platforms including but not limited to:
- The Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) family of vehicles (including the Maxx Pro and M‑ATV variants).
- The Cold‑Weather All‑Terrain Vehicle (CATV / M973A2 Beowulf).
- The Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV).
- The Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (LRV) including the electric Light Reconnaissance Vehicle (eLRV) prototype effort.
- The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV).
- The High‑Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) variants.
- Candidate requires familiarity with Reconnaissance and Security (R&S) mission profiles, arctic and extreme cold‑weather mobility considerations, air‑droppable and CH‑47‑transportable vehicle requirements.
- Familiarity with integration of mounted weapon systems on light platforms, and the unique sustainment challenges of small‑form‑factor and silent‑watch capable platforms.
- A working knowledge of the U.S. Army, its organizational structures with emphasis on Infantry Brigade Combat Teams (IBCTs), Airborne and Air Assault formations, and Arctic units such as the 11th Airborne Division.
- A basic understanding of Army doctrine and operational concepts.
- Position reports to the Task Order Team Lead.
- Bachelor’s Degree, or eight (8) years of Army maneuver, infantry, or cavalry experience in lieu of a degree.
- Graduate of the following DAU courses, or ability to complete within 10 days of hire:
- RQM 1010, Introduction to JCIDS (formerly CLR 101).
- ACQ 1010, Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management (formerly ACQ 101).
- RQM 1101, Core Concepts for Requirements Management (formerly RQM 110 / RQM 1100).
- TST 102, Fundamentals of Test and Evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other operational software.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Graduate of the Army Capabilities Development Course (CDC).
- Prior assignment in an IBCT, Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), or Cavalry Squadron at the company or higher echelon.
- Familiarity with Arctic, Airborne, or Air Assault unit mobility operations.
- Familiarity with the Capability Program for Combat Logistics (CPE CL).
