Product Material Compliance Specialist
Ingeteam, a leading company specialized in electrical engineering and the development of electrical equipment, motors, generators, and frequency converters, seeks to incorporate a Product Material Compliance Specialist to reinforce regulatory compliance of our products and help implement a robust material compliance system at a corporate level.
What You Will Do On A Daily Basis- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations for hazardous substances and materials.
- Analyze and follow up on international regulations including: REACH, RoHS, SVHC, SCIP, PFAS, POPs, PCBs, Stockholm Convention, Mercury, as well as UK REACH, TSCA, and equivalent international regulations.
- Define, design, and implement the Product Material Compliance system, including:
- Selection and implementation of tools (e.g., Marker site, BOMcheck, or similar).
- Definition of processes, roles, responsibilities, and information flows.
- Governance and data quality criteria.
- Act with transversal influence over areas such as Purchasing, Product, Quality, and other key functions.
- Train and support internal users (Purchasing, Business, Product) on material compliance and use of tools.
- Support, in a complementary way, sustainability issues in the supply chain, including ESG-related risks to materials and contributions to the CSRD report.
- Participate as a point of contact in audits, customer consultations, and specific regulatory requirements.
- University degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or similar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product material compliance, substance regulations, or regulatory compliance in product.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing processes or systems, not just in operational execution.
- Previous experience in industrial, consumer, or equivalent environments (open sector).
- Medium to high level of English.
- Valuable knowledge of SAP (ERP) and material compliance tools.
- Incorporation into a strategic area in growth within Sustainability.
