Position OverviewWe're looking for a hands‑on Product Engineer who thrives in the field, inside the equipment, and inside the data. You'll spend 75% of your time troubleshooting, diagnosing, and engineering solutions across hydraulic systems, articulated lift systems, CAN bus networks, ECUs, diesel platforms, and custom control systems. This role blends technical problem‑solving, process improvement, and cross‑functional engineering collaboration — ideal for someone who can fix today's issue and prevent tomorrow's.
WhatYou'll Do
- Troubleshoot & Diagnose Equipment — Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and CAN‑bus failures; engineer durable solutions.
- Run CAN Bus & ECU Diagnostics — Track down communication faults, module failures, sensor issues, and control‑arm malfunctions.
- Retrofit & Re‑Engineer Systems — Relocate HMI panels, rewire systems, reprogram controllers, and modernize equipment layouts.
- Lead Root‑Cause Analysis — Perform structured RCA on recurring failures and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive Process Improvements — Identify design gaps, reliability issues, and workflow inefficiencies; recommend and implement improvements.
- Liaison With OEM & External Engineering — Communicate findings, escalate technical issues, and collaborate on design corrections or upgrades.
- Partner With Internal Engineering & Manufacturing — Provide field feedback, support design revisions, and help prevent repeat failures.
- Documentation & Technical Reporting — Maintain accurate diagnostic logs, engineering notes, retrofit documentation, and change records.
- Read Prints & Schematics — Interpret electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Rebuild & Rewire Control Panels — Retrofit electrical systems, update wiring layouts, and integrate new components.
Relevant Experience
We're looking for aptitude, curiosity, and problem‑solving drive as much as past experience — our software, applications, and CAN bus systems are fully trainable for someone eager to learn, lead, and take on complex troubleshooting challenges
- Strong communication skills with OEMs, customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic drawings
- Ability to diagnose complex failures and engineer practical, field‑ready solutions
- Experience in hydraulics, articulated lift systems, CAN bus, ECUs, and electro‑mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience with root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement
- Diesel engine knowledge is a major plus
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Every other or occasional Saturday is possible.
- Base Salary: $85,000–$90,000 salary + 1.5x hourly pay for overtime after 40 hours. Salary non-exempt.
