Staff Engineer, Quality Engineering

Position Summary

Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It is the most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency while producing and distributing trusted pet care brands.

As a Staff Engineer you’ll oversee equipment and factory layout design, manage capital programs and key projects, and ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the factory, utilities, and grounds in compliance with state and federal regulations. You’ll work with cross‑functional groups to manage and execute key projects and hold budgetary responsibility for assigned projects.

• Participate in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Develop designs/solutions in accordance with engineering safety, production, sanitary, and accounting procedures and specifications.
• Direct the installation of new equipment and/or the modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects.
• Monitor outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity, and budgeting.
• Prepare estimates, schedules, and issue documents/drawings for construction on assigned projects.
• Evaluate bids, award contracts, issue purchase orders, and provide engineering consulting services to business teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2+ years’ experience in an engineering or capital project management role within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $84,000 - $108,000.
