Daniel Defense LLC seeks an Operations Project Engineering Lead to drive complex engineering and process improvement projects in our Georgia manufacturing facilities. In this role you will lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize production of premium AR-style firearms and accessories, focusing on throughput, quality, safety, and cost. Responsibilities include project planning, data-driven analysis, equipment and process upgrades, documentation, and training. You will collaborate closely with design, quality, and operations teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment that values craftsmanship, patriotism, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects to improve manufacturing operations and product throughput for premium firearms and accessories
- Plan, scope, and execute process improvement and capital projects from concept through implementation
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with design, quality, maintenance, and production teams to ensure manufacturability, safety, and compliance
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
- Standardize work instructions, process controls, and layouts to support lean manufacturing principles
- Support equipment selection, installation, validation, and continuous optimization
- Train and mentor operators and technicians on new processes, tools, and best practices
