Processes admission payments accurately, verifies approved entry information, protects cash and payment records, and supports an orderly, professional, and secure guest-entry experience.
Essential Responsibilities- Greet guests professionally and communicate approved cover charges, ticket requirements, payment methods, and entry procedures.
- Process cash, credit-card, electronic, presale, and approved complimentary admissions accurately through the designated system.
- Maintain control of the assigned cash bank, terminal, receipts, wristbands, tickets, stamps, and other accountable items.
- Verify guest-list, ticket, reservation, or payment status without making unauthorized exceptions or price changes.
- Provide receipts when required and immediately report disputes, declined payments, suspected fraud, counterfeit currency, or system problems.
- Coordinate with hosts, security, VIP staff, and management to maintain an orderly line and accurate guest flow.
- Do not make security, age-verification, capacity, refund, or admission exceptions outside assigned authority.
- Reconcile all transactions and accountable items, complete checkout paperwork, and obtain manager approval before leaving.
- Cashier, box-office, nightlife, retail, or hospitality experience preferred.
- High accuracy, integrity, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm with waiting guests.
- Ability to use POS, ticketing, guest-list, and electronic payment systems and perform basic calculations.
Availability must support business needs, including evenings, late nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and schedule changes. Reliable and punctual attendance is an essential expectation.
Physical and Work EnvironmentStand or sit at an assigned entry station for extended periods; repeatedly handle payment materials; occasionally lift up to 25 pounds; communicate in loud conditions and work late nights, weekends, holidays, and changing weather near entrances.
Performance ExpectationsMaintain professional conduct and appearance; follow uniform, grooming, attendance, safety, confidentiality, cash-handling, alcohol-service, anti-harassment, and incident-reporting policies; communicate respectfully; protect guest and company information; and complete all assigned duties before manager release.
