We are partnering with a growing, well-capitalized organization in the insurance sector seeking a Vice President of Accounting & Treasury to lead core financial operations and strategy. This executive will oversee accounting, reporting, and treasury functions across a multi-entity environment and play a critical role in driving financial integrity, scalability, and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact leadership role offering visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape financial infrastructure within a dynamic, growth-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities
Accounting Leadership
  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, AR/AP, and month-end/year-end close
  • Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and statutory accounting standards
  • Lead preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Deliver insights on financial performance, trends, and forecasts to executive leadership
  • Analyze results against budgets and provide actionable recommendations
Compliance & Controls
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Oversee statutory reporting requirements and coordinate premium tax filings
Audit & Governance
  • Lead internal and external audit processes
  • Ensure transparency and readiness across all financial reporting activities
Treasury Management
  • Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and investment accounting
  • Manage liquidity and optimize treasury operations
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Drive enhancements in accounting systems, workflows, and reporting capabilities
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in leadership
  • Strong experience within insurance (life and/or health highly preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting principles

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
