Finance Team Member Austria

What you'll be doing

Your key responsibilities include:

• You are an essential part of the finance team in Austria, but also have many connections to the multinational finance community of AXA XL
• You are responsible for planning and booking the local budget as well as conducting and booking forecasts and quarterly closings for the AXA XL Group in relation to premiums, reinsurance, and costs
• You take over the business partnering and technical controlling for industrial insurance sectors
• You are the contact person for the Austrian financial authorities and support with the various tax payments, such as income tax, VAT, and insurance tax
• Cost accounting, expense monitoring, and cost distribution are also part of your duties
• You conduct reporting and ad-hoc analyses for the management in Vienna, Cologne, Dublin, New York, and Paris
• The assumption and participation in various local and international projects complete your job profile

You will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting Austria & CSEE.

What you'll bring

We are looking for someone who has the following knowledge and skills:

• Completed (Master) studies in the field of business administration, economics, or similar with a focus on finance
• Ideally, many years of experience in auditing, corporate, or tax consulting for insurance groups
• Professional accounting and controlling qualifications
• Very good knowledge of financial analysis and accounting systems
• Experience in the interplay of measures and indicators with various influences in financial reporting (accounting)
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly
• Very good communication and social skills
• High team orientation, experience in international team cooperation
• Good self-organization skills as well as the methodical ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
• Proficient use of Anaplan and Microsoft 365
• Legally sound German and very good English in writing and speaking

We offer a gross annual salary of at least 56,454.58 Euros, with the possibility of a higher salary depending on qualification and experience, as well as an attractive benefits package.
