Finance Team Member

Full-time (38.5 hours per week) | Permanent in Vienna, Austria

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Being an essential part of the finance team in Austria, with many connections to the multinational finance community of AXA XL
• Responsible for planning and booking local budget as well as conducting and booking forecast and quarterly closings for the AXA XL Group regarding premiums, reinsurance, and costs
• Taking over business partnering and technical controlling for industrial insurance sectors
• Acting as a contact point for the Austrian financial authorities and supporting with various tax payments, such as income tax, VAT, and insurance tax
• Including cost accounting, expense monitoring, and cost distribution in your duties
• Conducting reporting and ad-hoc analyses for the management in Vienna, Cologne, Dublin, New York, and Paris
• Taking over and participating in various local and international projects

You will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting Austria & CSEE.

What you'll bring:

• Completed (Master-)study in the field of business administration, economics, or similar with a focus on finance
• Ideally, many years of experience in auditing, corporate, or tax consulting for insurance groups
• Professional accounting and controlling qualifications
• Very good knowledge of financial analysis and accounting systems
• Experience in the interplay of metrics and indicators with various influences in financial reporting (accounting)
• Profound analytical skills and the ability to work independently and responsibly
• Very good communication and social skills
• High team orientation, experience in international team cooperation
• Good self-organization skills as well as the methodical ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
• Proficient use of Anaplan and Microsoft 365
• Legally sound German and very good English in writing and speaking
