Mortgage loan Officer - Retail

Overview

The Mortgage Loan Officer – Retail position provides excellent customer service to each customer at all times. The role involves developing mortgage loan business using internal and external referral sources and building community relationships.

Onsite in Savannah, GA. The position is not eligible for remote work.

• Develop new and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Use consultative selling techniques to advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products.
• Provide excellent customer service from approval through closing, working with loan origination sources to secure and verify all required information for underwriting.
• Maintain client relationships and advise customers on completion of loan applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.

• Pipeline and book of business experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, portfolio programs).
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to cross‑sell financial products and services.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• PC and Internet skills.
