What

Role Will You Play In Our Team?

As a key member of the Indirect Tax Compliance team, you will play a critical role in delivering timely, accurate VAT compliance for a portfolio of Exxon Mobil affiliates across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. You will help ensure operational excellence by preparing VAT declarations, statistical returns, and related analyses using various ERP systems. You will ensure accurate tax return preparation, submission, reporting, and payment to government authorities, including handling tax refund and claim submissions where required.

You Will Do
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, payments, and statistical declarations.
  • Apply tax laws and business scenarios to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Perform VAT account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
  • Analyze filing trends to identify and prevent errors.
  • Support tax audits through analysis and timely responses.
  • Coordinate with Tax Advisors and external consultants where needed.
  • Implement best practices and support process improvements.
  • Maintain internal controls and related documentation.
  • Escalate critical issues and key metrics to management.
About You:

Skills And Qualifications

Finance graduation, 2-4 years of experience. Fluency in English, additional EU language is an advantage. Self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving, and controls mindset. Solid understanding of VAT, accounting concepts, and tax compliance processes. Ability to quickly absorb business procedures, internal controls, accounting guidelines, and related systems. Comfortable working with digital tools; SAP experience is an advantage. High attention to detail and accuracy and strong digital skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, collaborate, and work effectively in a team. Capable of managing priorities, meeting deadlines, and coordinating across multiple functions. Continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes. Effective in a virtual, multicultural environment.
