Chief Financial Officer

MORGAN COUNTY GEORGIA HOSPITAL AUTHORITY seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial operations for Morgan Medical Center, a rural critical access hospital in Madison, GA. The CFO oversees budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle, reimbursement, and financial reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and sound fiscal stewardship. This role partners closely with the CEO, Board, physicians, and department leaders to support strategic planning, capital projects, and service line growth.

The CFO will guide a small, collaborative team, optimize reimbursement and cash flow, and help sustain access to compassionate, community-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hospital financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Manage revenue cycle, reimbursement, and cash flow to ensure financial stability
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to the CEO and Board
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Medicare/Medicaid, and healthcare regulatory requirements
• Partner with leadership on strategic planning, capital projects, and service line development
• Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and revenue cycle staff
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions
• Optimize payer contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and cost controls
• Support audits, banking relationships, and risk management activities
