JOB SUMMARY
The City of Sky Valley is seeking an experienced, ethical and service-oriented professional to serve as its next City Manager. Known as “Georgia’s Highest and Coolest City,” Sky Valley is a distinctive mountain community of full‑time and seasonal residents and property owners in northeastern Rabun County, about three hours from Atlanta. The City Manager will serve as Sky Valley’s chief operating officer, overseeing daily municipal operations, implementing policies and priorities of the Mayor and City Council, managing budget and staff, coordinating infrastructure and capital projects, and promoting responsive, transparent and efficient public service.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, hands‑on leader with strong experience in local government administration, financial management, personnel supervision, project management and community relations. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to balance daily operations with long‑range planning.

- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, finance, political science, planning or a related field. - At least five years of local‑government or public‑sector management experience.
