Position Summary:
The Government Relations Associate manages government relations activities across a multi-state region in support of Dominium's mission to build and preserve affordable workforce and senior housing. This position monitors and analyzes public policy, communicates potential business impacts and risks, advocates for housing-related initiatives, and builds relationships with key stakeholders. The Government Relations Associate also partners with internal teams to support regional development projects, policy objectives, and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in government, political science, legal studies, public policy, or a related field is required. Master's degree or other relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, public affairs, legislative affairs, or a related field
- Direct experience analyzing and/or influencing public policy is required.
- Experience with lobbying, coalition building, advocacy campaigns, or related work is preferred. Experience with in the housing or affordable housing industry is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, and experience navigating online government and state agency databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to quickly summarize and communicate complex information in clear, accessible language.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate public policy and determine its potential impact on company activities.
- Creative and resourceful approach to identifying challenges and developing effective strategies and solutions.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills, including experience developing coalitions in support of organizational priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, time-management, and organizational skills.
